Amana PTAC codes: two characters, and the second one matters

Owner-safe checks: Photograph the display close up and read both characters from the image rather than from across the room. | Check that the supply cord is fully seated and whether any protective device on the plug has operated. | Clean the filter following the owner manual and clear anything obstructing the exterior grille that can be reached from outside. Qualified technician: Anything that requires the chassis to come out of the wall, or a meter to touch the board, belongs to a technician on equipment of this type. | A protective device on the supply cord that operates repeatedly is a stop condition rather than something to keep resetting, and it needs an electrical assessment.
